Heart City Health Celebrated at Indiana Immunization Coalition Awards
On June 28th, 2023, at Golf Club of Indiana’s Cardinal Room, Heart City Health celebrated
Our award-winning vaccination services at the Indiana Immunization Coalition Awards. These
awards are given based on statewide clinic vaccination rates and nominations and celebrate
excellence across the vaccination field.
This year, Heart City Health garnered three prestigious awards, solidifying our commitment to
vaccination efforts and the well-being of our community.
Awards for Heart City Health’s Scenic Location
Kristen Forbes Teen Award
The Kristen Forbes Teen Award is an Outstanding Practice award, meaning it’s given based on
clinic vaccination rates. The data that determines the award winner is collected by the Indiana
Department of Health. The Scenic Clinic was given the award based on vaccination rates for 1
Tdap, 1-2 MCV, and UTD HPV vaccinations for 13-18-year-olds.
Erica Frazer Stum HPV Award
Additionally, the Scenic location was nominated for and won the Erica Frazer Stum High Flyer’s HPV award. This award is given to a clinic that has increased the rate of HPV series completion in both girls and boys. The award honors those who have achieved this increase through strong provider recommendations and effective outreach and education tailored to parents, guardians, and/or children to reduce missed opportunities.
Public Health Advocate Award Winner Letisha Purdiman
Alongside the two awards won by our Scenic location, a third award was given that honored one of our esteemed staff, Letisha Purdiman, a medical assistant at the Scenic location. This honor is awarded to an individual who has shown dedication, passion, and innovation to educating, advocating, and promoting immunization practices to prevent disease, disability, and death through immunization practices
