Our women’s health experts understand the conditions unique to women at all stages of life and that women develop diseases and respond to treatments differently than men.
The team at Women’s Health strives to ensure that you are heard, have a plan for your well-being, and are confident in your ability to live the healthiest life possible.
Since its establishment in 1993, Heart City Health has focused on treating all aspects of its patients. By bringing primary care and OB/GYN services into one building, Heart City Health is able to provide comprehensive healthcare to women from all walks of life.
Wellness checkups, immunizations, and other general visits with a physician are considered primary care. Our primary care physicians are especially passionate about and competent in working with women. Plus, because the women’s health office has other women’s health services, patients can receive all their women’s healthcare in one convenient location.
From annual pap smears to birth control consultations, gynecology is a vital field concentrated on women’s reproductive health. Your gynecologist will be there to guide you through all areas of female reproductive health like menstruation, hormone imbalance, STIs, and complications with fertility.
Obstetricians take care of pregnant women during pregnancy and after childbirth. By utilizing Heart City Health’s Women’s Health office, you can have your primary care physician, your gynecologist, and your obstetrician located in one building. That means most of your medical records will be accessible to your obstetrician during visits. This collaboration between medical providers ensures all our patients receive all-encompassing care with their medical history in mind.
Our team at Women’s Health offers personalized care for many topics including primary healthcare, weight management, sexual health, and pregnancy. Located in one convenient location, our on-site services include:
“Indiana has one of the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the country. This is unacceptable and we think we should do better, starting with the women in our own community,” said Esleen Fultz, CEO at Heart City Health.
Between 2011-2015, Indiana had the seventh-highest infant mortality rate and the third-highest maternal mortality rate in the country.
The mission of Heart City Health is to provide medical care for the whole person, regardless of their personal or financial situation.
“We accept most forms of insurance as well as offer a sliding fee scale for those without insurance. At Heart City Health, we feel that all women deserve access to high-quality healthcare regardless of age, race or financial situation and that’s why we will not deny care to anyone,” Fultz said.
