Clerk – Accounting Dept.

Qualifications

Current Valid Indiana Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) License. Prior experience in behavioral health including prescribing medications. Active DEA/CSR certificate license required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops individual service plans based upon assessment data and provides therapeutic interventions as necessary including the provision of ongoing medication management services.
  • Diagnose patient conditions and their causes, including medication assessment.

  • LCSW required. Experience (2 years or more preferred) serving clients with behavioral disorders, psychological illness, and/or substance use disorders. Strong clinical skills with experience in outpatient setting required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral disorders, psychological illness, and substance use disorders including, motivational interviewing engagement, de-escalating strategies, and knowledge and skill in the use of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). Must have strong commitment to client rights.

Medical Assistant – Women’s Health

Qualifications

  • Performs intake assessment which includes obtaining/reviewing prior medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes a collaborative approach in identifying opportunities for process improvement and systems integration.
  • Directs maintenance of the clinical fee schedule by incorporating new charges/services identified by the leadership team.
  • Performs revenue optimization functions to identify reimbursable services that are not being charged; monitors charge processes that ensure accurate CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes and prices.
  • Plans annual audit schedule for selected health center departments; oversees charge audit functions comparing medical records to claims and ensuring optimal charge capture and compliance.
  • Ensures timely review of regulatory literature such as Medicare Newsletter, Program Transmittals, and CPT and HCPCS guidelines and proposes solutions for Heart City Health’s charge capture systems.
  • Coordinates with all departments to ensure that the codes and professional fee schedules are accurate and in compliance with regulatory and/or contractual guidelines and that claims logic is appropriate for accurate billing.
