Calara Hardin, DDS, Joins Heart City Health Dental Team
Elkhart, IN- Heart City Health is thrilled to introduce our newest Dental team member, Dr. Calara Hardin, DDS. With a career spanning over two decades, she brings much experience and expertise to dentistry.
Most recently, Dr. Hardin served as a Dentist at Lakeshore Community Health Care, specializing in diagnosis, treatment planning, restoration, and consultation for pediatric and adult patients.
Beyond her clinical work, she is deeply committed to community oral health. She served as an oral health consultant at IMAN (Inner-City Muslim Action Network) in Chicago, where she developed oral health programs and IMAN’s health and wellness empowerment mission.
Dr. Hardin’s dedication to infection control and safety in dental settings was prominently showcased during her tenure as the Dental Supervisor in the Infection Control Unit at the Ministry of Health in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She has also made significant contributions at the Children’s Dental Clinic and Kool Smiles in Indiana, where she worked with children and adults as the Senior General Dentist.
Dr. Hardin obtained her Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry in 1998. Before that, she completed her Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Biology at the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign in 1993. Her commitment to education and staying current in the field is evident through her numerous certifications, including the Wave One Rotary Endo System, Zimmer Biomet socket preservation and bone grafting, and Invisalign certifications.
